Wedding & Bride Summer Expo COVID Safety Plan

In drafting a COVID safety plan, we are taking strong steps to ensure your safety throughout the event, including regular cleaning, placing physical distancing markers throughout the venue, and providing hand sanitiser. We’re counting on everyone to keep themselves and others safe by following the guidelines below, and adhering to the latest public health advice.

The Melbourne Wedding & Bride Summer Expo will be operating under COVIDSafe Settings, as per the government’s advice. All attendees must be fully vaccinated.

 

Exhibitors

How many staff members can I have at my stall?

There is no limit as to how many staff members you may have at your stall. As of 11:59pm, 18 November 2021, the Expo can operate at full capacity.

Can I still sell products / services at the expo?

Yes! You can sell any form of legal goods at this event. Contactless transactions are preferred, though cash transactions can occur so long as you sanitise before and after the exchange of goods/money. Vendors will need to supply their own payment systems.

How can I ensure the wellbeing of my staff and visitors?

COVID Check-in Marshals will be monitoring the entrance and ensuring all patrons are fully vaccinated. Wash your hands regularly, especially if you come in contact with objects that have been handled by others. There will be hand sanitiser available in various locations throughout the venue, but we encourage vendors to also have some available at their stall.

Will I need to wear a mask?

Yes, a face covering must be worn at all times throughout the event, unless a lawful exception applies.

I’m feeling unwell on the day, what do I do?

If you are feeling unwell, or displaying any symptoms of COVID 19 (this includes fever, cough, sore throat and/or flu like symptoms), please do not, under any circumstances, attend the event. If you cannot make the event, please contact us on info@umg.com.au

If at any point during the expo you start to display symptoms, however mild, please keep away from other attendees and seek assistance from an event organiser or member of security.

If you are feeling unwell, or displaying any symptoms of COVID 19, please do not, under any circumstances, attend the event.

How can I ensure the wellbeing of myself and other attendees?

    • Please have your tickets or phone ready to scan upon entry, and again once you leave.
    • Please have proof of your fully vaccinated status ready for inspection upon entry.
    • Guests must check in with the QR Codes provided on the day with the Service Victoria app. An alternative means of checking in will be provided for those without smartphones.
    • Wash or sanitise hands regularly, especially after coming in contact with objects that have been handled by others. There will be hand sanitiser available in various locations throughout the venue, but we encourage you to also bring a small bottle with you.
    • We ask that all visitors follow the directional marking on the ground when waiting to enter the venue, and during the expo.
    • Ensure that you wear a mask at all times, unless a lawful exemption applies.

 

Can I purchase goods / services on the day?

Some vendors may offer products for sale at their stalls, but please note that contactless transactions are preferred, though cash transactions can occur so long as you sanitise before and after the exchange of goods/money.

Do I need to book ahead?

Yes, to ensure the safety of everyone attending it is required that you book ahead for contact tracing.
