How did you decide to become a photographer?

It was the day of my cousins wedding. I was using my point-and-shoot camera and I was getting all these amazing photos for them, and the feeling I got made me realise that I wanted to do this for a living!

Tell us a bit about yourself, what do you like to do in your spare time?

When I am not working at weddings or on my computer editing away, you will find me playing with or walking my puppy, Melody. Otherwise, planning my next trip!  Travelling is a big part of my life, I’ve seen every single Disneyland park in the world so now I have to go back again!

What is your favourite part about your work?

There are so many favourite parts, but the big one is meeting the amazing couples I get to meet and being a part of their day.

What do you do to prepare for each wedding?

Each wedding prep is the same; the night before the batteries are being charged and cards are formatted, I go over the questionnaire the couples have filled out and double-check addresses and timeline for the day. I also send a text to the bride/groom to let them know I am excited to be a part of their day!

What are you excited about for your business this year, and for the future?

I am excited for the many more couples I get to photograph this year. I’ll hopefully still be doing this for many more years to come!

What is the most important thing to consider when choosing a photographer?

The most important thing to consider is if you get along with them. Should you feel a little uncomfortable with your photographer, it will impact how you feel on your wedding day. Make sure you can laugh with them, and in the end, trust them to give you amazing photos!

What is your best marriage advice for couples getting married?

Communication is key. Life gets busy, so make sure you have time for each other and listen.

What are you excited about for the expo?

This is my first big expo so I am pumped! I’m excited about meeting all the couples and chatting with them about their wedding day, but I’m also looking forward to meeting and spending time with the other vendors.
